10/08/2006: We are now offering reseller
packages for $29.99/month (20 GB disk space + 100 GB data transfer/month to be
distributed among the sites hosted by you with overselling capability)!
05/10/2006: We apologize but we have had to
terminate the Windows and UNIX hosting options. We will continue to offer
the Linux based hosting.
02/11/2006: Introducing our new
servers! YourWebHQ is
maintaining the current Linux Server but has added UNIX and Windows Servers.
Details!
February 2006: YourWebHQ is
maintaining the current Linux Server but has added UNIX and Windows Servers.
Details!
07/30/2005: Our office will be closed from
8/4/2005-8/16/2005. We will check E-mail every few days. The server
will be monitored by Atomfire.
4/20/2005: Everything has been good since
mid-March! Some folks were experiencing hacker activity-- bogus pages were
uploaded, redirects to odd sites, etc. Let us know if you experience any
problems.
03/06/2005, 03/14/2005: UPDATE Our sincerest apologies for the
3/3-3/5 server problems. Atomfire techs have determined that part of the
problem was an IDE
error and have replaced the faulty components. There are also some large
sites draining the resources and slowing things down. Atomfire techs are
still trying to identify the cause(s) of the problems of late. Due
to your inconvenience, everyone's service will be extended for 3 months.
Thank you for your patience.
01/02/2005: Our nameservers are being updated.
If you have your nameservers set at
ns1.thexspot.com and ns2.thexspot.com, you will need to change them to:
ns1.indium.128-ssl.net
ns2.indium.128-ssl.net
If you use the IP address instead of the above,
you will not need to change anything (double check that the second one is
correct):
69.57.144.90 and 69.57.144.219
The change will be effective on 01/25/2005 when
the old nameserver expires.
Your control panel can always be accessed using your domain name with
the :2082 at the end (e.g., domain.com:2082).
We apologize for
any inconvenience.
(obsolete) 11/02/204: Last weekend, our server
was upgraded. The transition was supposed to be seamless but one customer
noted that his default email address had been deleted. Please check to be
sure your email addresses are setup the way you intended.
To make such upgrades easier on yourself, please
list your DNS with your domain name registrar as "ns1.thexspot.com"
and "ns2.thexspot.com" instead of using the IP address. In
addition, your control panel can always be accessed using your domain name with
the :2082 at the end (e.g., domain.com:2082).
The new IP address is 69.57.144.90.
We apologize for
any inconvenience.
08/21/2004: insanedomains.com has
yourwebhq.com for sale for $7500. They are not the owners of this site or
domain name and
are not authorized to sell it. This is a scam.
07/01/2004: After over 6 months of
notifications (via E-mail and U.S. Mail), 5 sites were closed when the web-xperts
accounts were closed today. If your site was one of those, please change
your DNS to ns1.thexspot.com and ns2.thexspot.com and publish your site to this
new server. In addition, please contact us via E-mail so that we may
update your contact E-mail address and account information. Thank you!
06/22/2004: Access your webmail at: http://www.yourdomain.com/webmail
(obsolete) 06/21/2004: The IP address for the server has been updated. No one needs to do anything to update it-- it resulted in a couple of hours of intermittent downtime over the past weekend. To access your control panel, you will now use
http://205.237.202.208:2082. (See 11/02/04 for most current info)
05/20/2004: There are no more "traffic
generating sites" (sites that sell traffic) allowed at this time. Currently hosted sites
of this nature are ok.
05/18/2004: E-mails and letters have been sent to the owners of the sites still on the old server. If you have not updated the DNS yet, your
site is still on the old server, which is being closed on June 30, 2004.
Please contact us for more information.
03/26/04: The deadline to switch over to
the new server is June 30, 2004. The FAQ section for this site is currently being
updated to coordinate with the new server. We appreciate your
patience!
01/10/04 -
YourWebHQ.com
has been switched over to the new server. So far so good! As
mentioned in last week's E-mail (if you did not receive the E-mail,
please send us your updated E-mail address), we will try to maintain the
current server until June 30, 2004. If you wish to continue
hosting with YourWebHQ, you will need to switch to the new server
before
then.
